Cupping is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been practiced for over three thousand years.
The cups create suction against the skin and are placed along the body's meridians (energy channels) to relieve muscle
and joint pain, calm inflammation, release lymphatic blockage and tension, detox the body, improve respiration and
digestion and reduce hypertension. Practitioners employ cupping to treat a wide variety of ailments from arthritis and
fibromyalgia to headaches and menstrual disorders. Other applications include tightening the skin, reducing cellulite
and removing stretch marks, spider veins and scars. Massage therapists integrate cupping to support deeper soft tissue
work, trigger point therapy and myofascial release.
